yes in general the smaller timeframes such as hourly or minute charts are not as effective on illiquid stocks. It’s better on the high liquidity as too many false signals can occur. However, when it comes to TA each person has their own criteria and I’m loathe to criticize methodology as long as one is consistent. One must be aware though of red flags in methodology as well.
VMM is not a stock to perform large scale trading within a short period - look at today I managed to get 10 k each at 1.32 and 131.5. My order at 130.5 did not get hit. Just no liquidity to sell into and would need to move significantly for large holders to sell.
