Committment to society? Vale? Samarco is the subject of a class action in the Netherlands for not properly redressing the societal and environmental issues caused by the 2015 Fundao, Mariana dam collapse sufficiently, and a seperate class action is starting in the UK in October. No wonder the expanded net debt, with provisions, has blown out to US$16B- the lawsuits are massive. After Fundao, there was Brumidinho in 2019. Samarco is a joint Vale / BHP company.
