The content of that piece demonstrates how much BS is deliberately spread about EV sales. Here is an extract of the extract....

"Growth in Chinese sales may have slowed in the first quarter of 2024 compared with last year, but they still topped a million, according to industry data cited by Reuters."

And yet here is a chart taken from a recent post from @Gemende that is from the International Energy Agency and includes the actual data rather than some false commentary. It is clear that there was no "slowing" on a year on year comparison between quarter 1 2023 and quarter 1 2024! There was rather massive growth. I think I recall the global percentage rise being 25% and China's sales grew by about that rate too.

Quarter 1 is typically a lower sales period in many jurisdictions, but especially in China when their new year celebration and national holidays fall. This involves periods of less activity in the lead up and during the holidays. Yet still, on year to year comparison, it is apparent there was high growth in China!

These are the facts for all to see.
