Sounds too simple IMO. If WD spent years collaborating in the development, theoretically adding value to the product, you'd think they could expect something for that even if the JDA has expired. A court would paw over every "I", "." and "T" in the agreement to ascertain what the parties intended, including all the correspondence and discussions that lead up to the agreement. Its not cut and dry IMO unless of course your privy to the whole agreement and all other related documents
