They’ve always stuck to their knitting in the past, selling to intermediaries in the supply chain through traditional auctions. Covid forced them to develop online auctions, which have been a great success. The latest auction could be a similar turning point - pivoting away from almost exclusively supplying traders to expanding their sales direct to jewellers and consumers. The Covid-induced change happened overnight, out of necessity. Hopefully that experience will stimulate further bold initiatives in marketing.
