"...He voluntarily abandoned his presidency..." Unsubstantiated, false narrative created by Western mass media to justify a coup. You're misrepresenting the facts. He did not abandon his presidency. He always stated that he was never going to resign. He was ousted as a result of an unconstitutional procedure.
"...Neither the EU nor the US made these choices for hm...." US/UK meddling in Ukrainian internal affairs and backing of a coup, affected Yanukovich's decision making to some extent. Especially after certain individuals threatened Yanukovich with violence.
"...Neither the EU nor the US made him abandon the EU association agreement...." A deliberate lie and a misrepresentation. There was no EU association agreement that Yanukovich committed to. EU offered it's trade deal, Russia responded with a counter-offer. Yanukovich decided to go for the Russian offer instead, as it benefitted ordinary Ukrainians better than the self-serving EU offer.
"...These series of poor decisions were those of Yanukovych alone..." Unsubstantiated, nonsensical claim. Those decisions were dictated to Yanukovich by the circumstances that the EU/US meddling in Ukrainianaffairs has created.
"...The unconstitutional situation was created by his departure...." That is incorrect. Rada created an unconstitutional situation by ousting a democratically elected president illegally. There were lawful options they could take, but they didn't take them. Because US/EU wanted to install a US/EU aligned government as fast as they could. A pro-longed impeachment procedure would have delayed the process and could have failed in the end anyway. Meaning that the coup that US/EU helped plan and stage would have been all for nothing.
