"Whats the chances of them shutting it early" - Zero. The company would be required to provide advance notification of the updated closing date. I'm too lazy to look for any specific regulation or rule relating to adjusting the timetable for a share purchase plan, but the catch-all minimum notification period is five clear business days. So if they get notification out on the ASX on Monday 29th, the earliest they could close the offer (assuming 5 days notification) is close-of-business on Monday 6th May. That's only four days before the original close date. It's hard to see what benefit the company would gain from closing the offer early to offset the costs involved in changing the date. It's not like the company is short of cash.
