Love the Labor spin on this one. Fact is the government was desperate to sign off on this shonky deal so that they could go into the election showing how they were going to fund their unbelievable smorgasboard of promises yet return the deficit back into surplus. So lo and behold some secret deal is thrashed out between the government and 3 largest miners without any consultation with the rest of the industry. Then we're to believe its all above board and a win-win for everyone. Take that to the voters and then take focus off their own incompetence by highlighting Coalitions phantom black hole.
Now it's all unravelling. How ironic that the black hole appearing is from Labor. Labor are reneging on promises in the mining tax composition, that is why BHP is threatening to walk away from the deal, not because of any merger failed or otherwise with RIO.
Hey Jooolia, if its good enough for you to demand that NSW state government keep their promises, why don't you do the same thing. One rule for Jooolia and one for the rest. Typical incompetent Labor scam. Swan, to go down in history as the worst treasurer in history. And it's going to cost Australia dearly.
