Investors interested in speculative mining stocks should consider Continental Coal, Signature Metals and Avanco Resources. Continental is the biggest of the three. Signature is smaller than rival Australian miners operating in Burkina Faso and Ghana, such as Ampella Mining and Perseus Mining. Its share price has been weak for the last decade. Would-be investors should note that 237.5 million options in Avanco are due to expire in April 2012.
