Given that ATH434 is an iron chaletor, and iron aggregation is a key cause of many disabilities, I feel those researching FA, have reached out and asked to research ATH434 for their studies and future treatment of FA, as the author and university had no association with alterity.
Reading the poster I feel ATH434 had good potential and selectively chose iron compared to other medications, therefore targeting other irons that current medications dont.
Although this testing was done in a laboratory, it was not studied under animal or humans to observe actuall effects.
I feel this is positive, next step would be to study the effects in human.
