Yeah, actually pearls are not really "precious". There is generally no resale value, and it’s harvested. Yes, production cannot really be scaled per farm site, but that doesn’t mean existing (and newly established) farms cannot focus on making white pearls. There is increasing production in Indonesia as well as other places such as Myanmar. ATP had value as they were one of the only Indonesian farms focusing on white pearls. But I hear that there are many more white pearls that are going to be potentially flooded into the market over the next few years. What that means in practice though, we will find out.
