They make incredibly good returns, one of the best performing funds in Australia and very highly respected in the investing community. Phil and the rest of the team are incredibly good at finding quality companies which the market has failed to notice, and going long these. Yes they do a bit of short term trading and shorting, and that naturally makes retail investors unhappy, but most of their positions are long term investments that end up performing very well. They wouldn't be such a strong performer if they did any of what you claim they do. How can you make a profit by buying a stock, only to make it stagnant and destroy the share price? That's nonsensical. They're clearly very long, and I'm guessing they suspect this will be akin to many of the other multi baggers they've successfully invested in.
