    Waltz,

While I can see where you are coming from, you have to consider that we are still a fair way away from the best prices achieved for copper in 2006.

At the same time you have to consider that way back when the $AUD was only worth around $0.60 cents $USD.

It would mean that if the price of $USD 3.82 that Conix is quoting was compared to those previous levels, we would in fact receive $AUD 6.37 per pound of copper. In today's dollar value we will get instead about $AUD 3.82 per pound. How is that for a bottom line margin figure??

Now you may understand where I am coming from.

IMHO we should be starting to get excited when the copper prices will/may reach the previous highs, then we can start considering what the AUD will do for us at the same time as well.

After all, the higher the $AUD will move against the $USD, the less money we are going to get for our copper.

IMHO, Conix is only trying to paint a picture that simply is not there, and maybe a little ramping as well, while I am trying to bring some balance in the debate.

Sorry to disappoint you waltz, but that's me. I like to speak and present facts, not fallacies.

Besides, what copper have we got on hand ready to sell, lol. For what we know, by the time we will have some to sell, the price of copper could be twice as much as today, and it could even be at the lows we experienced at June 2010.
And will we ever end up mining it or someone else will do it for us.????

But, I still do like your style of posting waltz, and also admire you for being of an open mind as well.

    Cheers,

    Buddy
