Going by Mike’s tweet here a while back we can now confidently say Lindi’s plant is processing not only weathered material but also fresh and dare I say it, Spid’s transitional material. The 19000t stockpile with 5 random samples taken each recorded 40% TGC and has been shown running through the primary crusher throughout its commissioning phase. So much for Spid’s belief that no fresh material has been processed and only weathered material has been mine blasted. As you can see fresh material can be found at surface and clearly responds to floatation in a similar manner as weathered material and the mystery transitional. I’ve always had the belief that all Lindi’s material was similar in nature due to its close proximity and near surface. Therefore the plants design capable of processing any ore from Lindi Jumbo. The proof is now in the pudding with onsite lab results confirming the plant’s ability to liberate graphite from all differing types of ore. Happy days.
