Yes resellers of cathode. JW said that SD has built a cathode plant in the IMIP, and I believe the cathode plant at ENC will be a replica, so they have used the IMIP cathode to start the qualification process with the potential customer.
Regarding the matte, although the NPI price may recover more strongly in future, the class 1 price has already recovered now, and is some US$3,000/t higher than early Jan on the LME. Plus the contract with Glencore was for 6 months of production from memory. Anywho, I think there is more to that story, probably related to the ore shortages, but we will likely never know. As long as NIC is making good margins on the NPI it doesn’t matter too much I suppose.
