Right, except Canada has been complying with the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) which was put in place by the UN to oversee trade in listed narcotics (including cannabis). Canada has been supplying data to the INCB alongside other countries that cultivate and export cannabis.
So why bother complying with that and not just disregard the entire thing? Also, if as you say they just ignore it perhaps they should no longer be a signatory to it alongside the USA?
