They also touched on people's comments the episode after, so it's nice they are taking some feedback on board. Perhaps they are just familiar with the old model of laterites = awful which in the past I would agree on.
But past performance is not an indicator of future performance and since then, china has been cranking out hpal quite successfully. A few of the guests they've had on actually touched on this a few months back.
