Any major transition period - in a complex system will most likely have some backtracking

often - indeed far more often than not ----------- progress is 3 steps forward and 1 step back

that's the nature of change and it's certainly the nature of transition


how often do we shove a tool away and think - well, that's the last time I'll be using that one

only 6 months later to have to go 'now, where did I put that old...................?'

tis the nature of living in a society which uses tools - and has happened regularly to us since we started making stone axes and digging sticks
