Just posing a scenario for tonight's employment data, this is not a prediction though.
Markets have been used to over the past few months, seeing the employment data coming in modestly stronger than anticipated. One could assume that tonight will be no exception and looking at markets at the moment, particularly interest rates and the DXY, it may well be that more of the same is expected.
Even after the FED meeting this week, markets have tended to think more of the same.
Markets have not had a surprise for some time, and tonight could be it.
Dare I suggest that some dreadful number be announced that will have the market in a turmoil, with the end result a sharp fall in both yields and the DXY.
Where will that leave PM's, sweet dreams everyone this end of the World.
