Unfortunately I fear Conspiracy theories foster societal divisions between in-groups and out-groupsby exacerbating intolerance against “the other” and delegitimising different voices as being part of theconspiracy.
Extremist groups use conspiracy theories as a tool for recruitment and to advance their radicalagendas exploiting uncertainties, fears, socioeconomic issues and mental health disorders amongst vulnerablepeople
I think some do this intentionally to keep us fighting between ourselves rather than focusing on the big issues.
