I cant access the Australian but read an article from 2020 on the same subject.
Extract - “We used a special furnace that can heat the sample to 3000 degrees Celsius in seconds, something most furnaces cannot achieve,” Mr Fogg detailed.“To put the temperature into perspective, 3000 degrees Celsius is equal to about half the surface temperature of the Sun.”
Maybe things have move on since? But the need to heat to 3000 degrees seems to bit of a barrier to commerciality. Worth keeping an eye on though.
