USA would do exactly what Russia is doing, if fir example, Mexico decided to align itself with Russia.
Just as Ukraine wanted align itself with NATO

The Ukrainian people have bourne the consequences of russian genocidal aggression for centuries. This time however they have had the backing of democratic countries to defend their territory. They have also been fortunate to be led by a Ukrainian Jew who has the nost powerful community in the world behind him.
