Maybe. Or maybe they just want more bidders to maximize the price. Or maybe they're stalling until FID.
Remember what Cook (CVN CEO at the time) said then:
One could interpret that to mean CPC wanted more than 10%.
CPC paid USD145M, which valued CVN's share of just Bedout at $0.25. With the passage of time, strength in the oil price, and some favourable rulings on Native Title challenges, I think it is worth more now.
