It's quite interesting - we live in a society where everything is now and urgent. When I had to retire due to ill health back in 2017 (due to a fall) the thing I found the most challenging was no longer needing to respond to requests for advice where my internal clients needing to wait for 24 hours seemed an eternity to them. I found that for years I had been working to timeframes that were just unreasonable but had become acceptable in business. The thing I found I then had time for was ... thinking. Who would have thunk that especially when I no longer needed to respond to people to give them advice. I have found that with a site like Hot Copper while it's wonderful to interface with shareholders, I feel we are creating too much expectation every day. Every day there are posts asking - are we there yet? As Shrek said to Donkey in that amazing accent Noooo Donkey not yet. We know when trial expectations are and we can ponder but let's just be patient. The patients are so we can too.
