    Farmboy,
You made a good post, i liked it, you don't need to justify it.

Maybe it's just me, but my heart bleeds for the poor bankers.
Hold on, no it's my bottom that bleeds from the poor bankers, like many I'm afraid.
Seriously it's very hard defending them.

We read about madoff and his ponzi schemes, yet we legislate banks to run one.

How much do the banks really need to squeeze out of society and be happy?

Place a decent tax on banks and pharmaceutical companies.
Banks are a necessary evil because it's impossible to dislodge them. (presidents have bit the dust trying to oust the fed for example)
Pharmaceutical companies spend about 60k per year, per doctor in "gifts" in the US.
We wonder why the health system is as its knees.
Maybe it's because we spend our money on "cure" not prevention because that is what makes pharmaceutical companies rich, while the community suffers.
Their profits for drugs that cause more harm than good half the time, make banks profits look like petty cash.
Community suffers, while lobby groups run wild.
