With the QLD Gov announcing $1000 per energy customer rebate from 1 July, LPE will receive $32m to put on deposit for an average of 6 months. On a 5% simple interest basis thats $800k. At 6% and compounding that would be $1.1m to the bottom line for LPE.

Now we are seeing that the Federal budget with offer another $500 to help with energy costs. Thats another $16m or about $500k in interest to the bottom line.

Both these are increasing the profitability of the company and adding to the value of a customer.

Be interesting to see how many people take up the offer at 8c, when the market is trading above that level!!!! If they are serious they will need to raise the t/o price to 15-18c...IMHO.
