I've been invested in HM1 for a while now, and the current discount is quite high I agree. I think we just need a bit of improved portfolio performance to see the gap closed. I do find it curious why they don't seem to be at least putting the spare cash in a savings account that could be earning interest for shareholders (and improving NTA which will increase the benefits to the philanthropic side too). I.e. HM1 seems to carry a cash balance anywhere between 5% and 20% over the years, why not earn some interest on it? Even short dated bonds or a savings account?

They would most certainly be earning interest on their cash balance.
