You still dont get the message. It is in the US interest to "contain" Russia as it is in the US interest to "contain " China ...that's simply what a hegemon does.... and since its inception in 1949 the CIA has been at the forefront of that mission including the containment/demolition of the USSR.
It is a secret organisation and not accountable to Parliament and anyone who outs its clandestine activities is subject to the charge of treason (eg Wikileaks/Assange)
So if the complete activities of the CIA were to be available publicly , its need to exist would be redundant.
Similarily if our ASIS activities abroad were to be public knowledge , its purpose too would be redundant. These secretive /covert activities" operations are the exception to open and transparent government in any democracy.
