Thanks for info. I remember once I had a bit of issue that requires specialist consultation. At the time, I was quite poor so I told my GP that I can't afford to see one of those private ones. He managed to refer me to a Prof in the public hospital which did not cost me anything out of pocket. Moreover, instead of buying medication, the Prof taught me a home made solution to help fix my problem which has gone away after that for more than 25 years now.

Mind you, you are right. That was years ago. Nowadays, I hope this sort of referral and Prof still exists
