What exactly is the science? A hypothesis?

An astrophysicist from the Western Sydney University has this to say about belief in science.

"It means you’ve misunderstood the question. I am a scientist, but I don’t “believe” in science or evidence. Science isn’t about belief.
It’s about seeing what works, and trying to understand what the evidence is telling you. “Belief” implies an acceptance of something even though there is no evidence of it. Science means always testing, questioning, and doubting stuff, even stuff you thought was correct.
In science, you never “know” anything, but you adopt those things which are supported by evidence and which seem to work - until contrary evidence comes along. And that includes what I’ve just written."

Moral of the story ? Best not to believe in the science? LMAO
