Yes bots were active.
Today's trades more of the same. 43 trades were for a single share.
Much of the trading activity conducted by institutions is now automated using predefined rules and algorithms. Different types of strategies are used so it is difficult to determine what is behind these trades (trend trading, arbitrage, scalping, momentum trading,etc).
There were 86 crossings today, 9% of all trades. Most of these were special crossings. There was an S3 XT crossing for 333,891 shares @ $2.19 at 11:00am. This is a special crossing where the broker acts for both the buyer and the seller and is a way of facilitating large trades without impacting the market.
I have no idea what is behind these trades, but the share price is being smashed.
