FDA corrupt? Never.
FDA incompetent? Everyday of the week. Half these new and updated 'guidance' documents reveal their incompetent and forced changes after industry has pointed out how wrong they have been. Not sure if you have ever dealt with the FDA, but firstly they are a public service organisation whose staff are paid an absolute pittance compared to the equivalent skillsets in the private industry. Do you think the smartest guys in that space work for FDA or privates. LOL Just like ATO. Do you think the best accountants work for them or are partners at the Big 4? Do you think the best lawyers work for the DPP or some upmarket silk firm in the CBD? Very naïve, mate. Just because ppl react emotionally to the FDA outcomes regarding MSB doesn't mean the FDA are free of some or all of their accusations.

No, FDA change its position because they eff'ed up, again. No one takes accountability for it just like every other public organisation. No care. No concern. Hard to sue the government without a lot of money and time. No matter how unprecedented FDA actions are.
Even worse, you get a lot of try hards in the FDA who want to build their careers in private industry for later, so they can be an absolute pain to deal with 'cause their focus is not on the public needs but their own selfish desires. The rest are just generally nice people but nowhere near top notch, just public service stalwarts who want to retire there (and sometimes are retired on the job). And then there are a small number who are very good and either want to give back to the public after a distinguished career or are just ideologically aligned with helping the public. Great to deal with but rare.
So lets rephrase your statement to get a better perspective of what you are claiming should never and has never been claimed against a government organization:
The government is never "corrupt, clueless, jingoistic, and all sorts of wacky accusations" should never be made against them.
