Now obviously some sources of information are better than others.
Also obviously HotCopper is a traders and investors forum and its essentially free to use - so the great unwashed and the great unprincipled and the great unscrupulous will use it to - its what they are prepared to pay after all to interact with others normally - BUT as John Stuart Mill recognized in his seminal work On Liberty - the point of free speech is that it empowering because anyone can occassionally find a good idea and contribute a good idea to the body social or the body politic. That good idea might not be recognized by most - the speaker/writer may be (often on Hotcopper is) villified and personally attacked so as to diminish the speaker/writers reputation generally and specifically, BUT that doesn't work completely and all the time because some readers are also like John Stuart Mills - they recognize ideas as meritorious themselves - they don't need the peer approval or others to trust their own capacity to recognize merit.
