I suspect Neville Bassett AM, has remained in the company director seat to ensure the quick and smooth transition of the board particularly ensuring sufficient membership of the board for ASX compliance.I am sure he will share his knowledge and support the new board members before gracefully bowing out. I think this will be helpful for reducing the load on Sam who also now has the added weight of chairman.
Neville Bassett AM is no fool clearly as you don't get to be a Member of the Order of Australia by accident. I can't see any situation where he would do anything but respect the wishes of shareholders. At the end of the day, his reputation is far more valuable to him than his role on the board of PharmAust.
