In trying to wrap my head around all areas of SOL, I have been trying to find some information about the Aquatic Achievers investment and swim schools in general. Other than hearing them mention on a recent call or interview that they feel it is a recession-proof industry, there does not seem to be a huge amount of information out there. SOL's latest annual report claims "with a combined 26 sites in operation, Aquatic Achievers averages 50,000 swimming lessons per week" which sounds like a lot.
Am I (as somebody who knows nothing about swim schools) right in assuming that the majority of these are large school groups that come through year round and provide a reliable income, or largely private lessons? I am not located in one of the 4 states that AA is present in so I am not familiar with the business, but I would love to know more about how it works.
