Hey V
I can remember you talking about Charles partner Xie. Thanks for the reminder. I agree she probably would know what was going on. So Mr L's find is a ripper.
I will put her job title to one side and/or figure that Adam is Sales Director (Completed units / KDP) and maybe Xie is Sales Director (Parts). Guesswork though.
Still can't get my head around how to interpret (with confidence) the surge in 'sales' with the units down and negative operational cashflow (albeit small) and yearly forecast of a @$3m loss.
I can't imagine that really represents where VMT is headed.
Perhaps it has got something to do with the terms current and upcoming JVs are getting.
Charged in Indonesia are getting discounted parts. We know that. The 'reward' for Vmoto is delayed because it is (largely?) an equity play.
The Malaysian adventure could have been getting stuff at cost / on terms during the recent 'build up' from a 'soft' launch to a (now) 'hard launch.
Working through homologation issues, providing samples and getting stock ready for a sales drive could be contributing to this. This from the annual report....
If the Thailand adventure gets announced and it is with an existing manufacturer, I would expect that parts have been shipped and perhaps no money has changed yet and/or sales not recognised and/or it is being done 'at cost' with the 'delayed' equity reward coming down the track. Depends on the accounting treatments.
Then there is Vammo. They have been actively bringing in finished product but are making noises at Govt level to get the same financial breaks as 4W EV manufacturers. Charles like it. So did Adam (see just under the picture of Vammo's dynamic duo)
As an aside, I find it interesting that there seems to be a move away form VS1 to the CPx by Vmoto's clients. Vammo, and Riba clients are examples of this
So I remain a little confused but very optimistic.
Cheers
