Thanks to those that tried to help me with this.
If anyone needs an idiot’s guide to exercising options with commsec- here is how I did mine.
1) Transfer the money. I did this by logging into my bank, using the BSB and account number provided in the email sent by RAC. You will need to add the reference number too.I did not need to complete any forms, although there is another way which involves a form.
Then wait a few days for the money to go across.
2) Log intoCommsec
Goto settings
-Create a request
-Type‘transfer holdings request’
From there it’s just a couple of straightforward clicks, but you will need:
SRN -
log into automic and go to statements. You will then be able to download your holding statement which has it.
HRN –
log in to CommSec, go to portfolio and select theaccount. You will see the HIN number next to the word "chess”
