What about the damage to a government who has trumpted gas as the transition energy solution, consulted and released a gas strategy paper but then comes out and says.......yeah we need gas......just not THAT gas. That would give the company, opposition and shareholders enough ammuntion to sink any hope of Labor being re-elected. You could prosecute the government on any number of fronts, prcedural fairness, bias, not giving a small company a fair go,, a chance to compete and innovate......how un-Australian! The optics would be terrible.
