The dominance of Chinese brands on the domestic market is increasing rapidly.

Xiaomi officially launched the SU7, its first EV model, on March 28, offering three trims -- standard, Pro, and Max -- with starting prices of RMB 215,900 ($29,820)

On April 21, Tesla lowered the prices of all its models in China to cope with the intensifying competition.The locally produced Model 3 now start at RMB 231,900($32,000)

"Car of the hour in China" is the SU7 from Xiaomi. Over 100,000 pre-orders. The SU7 is in direct competition with the Tesla Model 3.
Mind you, this is for a car that has not yet been tested in practice. Buyers blindly trust the Xiaomi brand. The cars are manufactured by a contract manufacturer.
Aesthetically, I find the car very attractive.
