You are correct - DJs are a public company. As such they have to declare what they paid.
It's here on HC - they made a two line release to the ASX on Oct 18 stating that total cost was $850k including legals.
David Jones Limited today announced that a settlement has been reached with Ms Kristy Fraser-Kirk in relation to proceedings in the Federal Court and her complaint in the AustralianHuman Rights Commission.
The settlement amount is $850,000 inclusive of all legal and other costs and expenses comprising a contribution from David Jones and a smaller contribution from Mark McInnes.
Now that might be open to interpretation but on face value "all legal and other costs" to me suggests that it covers both parties, or that she paid her own.
