US tariffs on China imports could help Australian critical minerals trade (copyright link)Washington | Australia could see an eventual boost to its critical mineral exports following the Biden administration’s new round of tariffs on $US18 billion ($27 billion) worth of Chinese products, global commodity researchers said.
Just as the Albanese government revealed tax credits expected to total $17.6 billion over 14 years for miners of 31 critical minerals, the White House announced it would this year jack up tariffs on China’s critical minerals from zero to 25 per cent.
