Hazer was excluded from the Hydrogen Headstart program, pushed aside by electrolysis, because its feedstock is natural gas which is not sustainable and contributes to considerable fugitive emissions. However as the govt have given natural gas the green light, in view of the low emissions conversion of natural gas to hydrogen by the Hazer process, there is a possibility of further govt support. In addition there is also the biogas process to pursue which is both sustainable and does not have the problems of contributing additional carbon to the atmosphere via fugitive emissions. It is highly likely that even without additional govt support that Hazer hydrogen will be far cheaper than electrolysis even before graphite sales are added to the equation. The figures provided by the CDP should bear this out. This is what we're all waiting for.
