In a sense, it does. However, better than the ex-China EV industry stalling altogether, I would have thought. Sure, it gives competitors time to enter the race but look at how long it takes to get resources and technologies validated. It also takes time beyond that to develop networks and to get financial backers. Providing that the Tanz Govt comes to the party in the near future with a SML, the dominoes should start to fall.
