really interested to hear people's thoughts on the sale of AAL coal assets..... does it in any way sully the water on our ambition to sell off a chunk of blackwater? i initially thought a possible suitor for blackwater would now be tempted to look at AAL's assets as an alternative, but a recent announcement from AAL saying they want to sell off their mines in one chunk wouldn't i imagine be met with the approval from the FIRB for an overseas conglomerate such as Japan's JSW steel or Japan's Nippon steel...hard to see anyone apart from YAL or ourselves being big enough to do such a deal singularly. i know a few hear like the idea of vendor finance when such deals are put forward and would envisage such a process likely to be put in place here, still a lot of water to go under the bridge but fascinating all the same.
