Not a silex announcement, I was thinking of the Australian government announcement that I had in the previous post. It was supporting local quantum computing (largely via PsiQuantum). I haven't found a direct link at all between Silex and PsiQuantum, but government investment to make local quantum computing work is bound to have some flow on effect to the people who make the raw materials. I'm just not sure if its significant or not.
