Rubbish. Any country that dare not joining the NATO would be severely punished in any internal strife as demonstrated in the civil war in Yugoslavia and Kosovo war. Whether US accepting it or not is purely dependent on the interests of US. Submission is a must for survival in Europe under US hegemony.
