getting free shares has nothing to do with it. He still has spent > $2m on buying shares in the company, irrespective of free shares or not.
if this were a lifestyle company then what your implying is that these shares will eventually be worthless, and his $2m + investment will amount to nothing.
no one invests over $2m in a company if they think they aren’t going to make money. This has nothing to do with free shares.
if you can’t understand this there is no point trying to even trying to discuss it.
