Ukraine wont stop. Military aid coming in now. Dont forget they have been starved of ammunition and weapons. Russia's vast resources being brought into the fray and a new fresh offensive- this was always expected. But if Ukraine holds out till winter then it gives them more time to regroup and rearm with long range missiles now and deep strike capacity. Already calls for more air strike capability aid from Ukraine.
I cant see this conflict ending anytime soon. Maybe a Trump victory means he pulls all aid as he has a bee in his bonnet over Ukraine and the Hunter biden thing. Right wing hawks in a Republican House may have a thing to say about this.
Although I cant see how Ukraine has a path to victory or how a peace settlement will work, a sweeping Russian military victory in the short term seems unrealistic as well, Unfortunately it will drag on imo into a gigantic proxy war.
