This video is well-worth watching - Mearsheimer is one very smart fellow.

He makes a valid point when responding to Tom Schwartz's line of argument, something along the lines "...but Israel is a nuclear power so it is safe....", he says that appartheid South Africa had nukes as well and that didn't prevent the whole appartheid system to collapse there.

Israel is self-destructing and if Israelis decide to user their nukes against Iran, they will be obliterated by Iran, imo.
We must not discount Hezbollah with its 150,000 rockets and ballistic missiles according to Mearsheimer in that video.
And Israel is absolutely defenceless against these ballistic missiles used recently by Iran and they didn't use the latest ones even more superior.

Why is Israel defenceless?
Iranians told Israelis and Americans 72 hours beforehand what exactly they were going to do in terms of their attack.
According to Mearsherimer, Iranians had established a 'hot line' between Iran and the US using Oman as an intermediary.

Iranians were telling them, step by step, what and when they were about to fire.

The purpose of this very clever tactic, so unexpected by Israelis, was twofold:
To avoid wider conflict by letting Americans know what's happening.
To humiliate Israelis by communicating to them what to expect in the next 72 hours, hour by hour, and showing them - you see? we've told you exactly what we were firing and when, you had plenty of time to prepare your defences and yet were unable to intercept all 7 ballistic missiles, 6 of which hit the targets communicated to the Israelis the the 7th one veering off course. Moreover, Mearsheimer says that about 50% of all rockets were intercepted by Americans not Israelis.

So much for supposed might of Israeli Army.
