If it was a duster or a gusher they would know either way rather quickly. It seems as though it is neither of the options so they are taking the time to find out what exactly they have found simple as that. These things take time its as simple as that they want to know he information before making a release that further information may prove was wrong in the first place. Risk vs return simple as that.
